Theme: “Times in Macao ‧ The Macanese Charms”
Macao has a unique geographical location and historical background. Over the past 400 years, Chinese and Western cultures have collided, exchanged and co-existed. A blend of Portuguese culture and Oriental multicolour culture has given birth to distinctive products of Chinese culture and Portuguese culture, such as architectural design, street characteristics and festival customs.
CONTESTANT & QUALIFICATION
- Student Category Contestants must be aged between 14 and 18 as born in between 2005 and 2009, holder of valid Macau ID card, and currently must be students of a day or night school.
- Open Category (Macao) Contestants must be aged 19 as born in 2004 or before, and holder of valid Macau ID card.
- Open Category (Portuguese-speaking) Contestants must be aged 19 as born in 2004 or before, and holder of valid ID card or other identification documents of Portuguese-speaking countries.
Contest Requirement
- Each piece of entry must be originally created by the participant. The entry must have never been published and must not be involved in any infringement of intellectual property rights or other legal dispute. If a violation is found, the entry will be deemed invalid, the contestant will be disqualified, and all prizes and awards he or she has won will be withdrawn.
- The painting medium of the entry is unrestricted, e.g., gouache, marker pen, crayon, watercolour and PHOTOSHOP, etc.
- Entries can only be submitted in physical way. Overseas entries should be submitted by mail.
- Size of the entry must be A3 size (297mm × 420mm). Entries not conforming to size requirement will not be considered.
- Submitted entries must be put inside an A3 L-shape transparent folder together with the pledge of originality.
- No marks or signatures are allowed on the entries.
- The submitted entry must be kept flat and cannot be mounted using adhesive. If the entry is submitted by mail, entries contained in cardboard tube packaging will not be accepted. Entries not conforming to size and mounting requirements will not be considered.
- If entry is a computer illustration, please submit together with a computer file in jpeg (pixel no less than 300dpi) or AI format and e-mail to fashionpromo@cpttm.org.mo. The name, category and theme of the entry should be indicated in the e-mail.
- Participants must consider the wearability and practicality of the piece of work.

Terms & Conditions
- Participants can apply online by visiting https://events.cpttm.org.mo and entering personal information and the theme for each entry.
- Macau Productivity and Technology Transfer Center (CPTTM) will hold a “Fashion Sketching Techniques Workshop” at the House of Apparel Technology for Chinese-speaking contestants and Portuguese-speaking contestants respectively in May 2023. People interested in participating can apply by browsing https://events.cpttm.org.mo.
- The deadline for submission is 21:00 on 20th July 2023 (Thursday). Entries submitted by mail are subject to the postmark of the place of posting.
- Please submit the entry with application form and pledge of originality to CPTTM – The House of Apparel Technology. (Address: Rua dos Pescadores, Edf. Industrial Ocean, Fase II, 10º Andar, Macau).
- Each participant can submit unlimited number of entries. However, each of the entry can only be created by one author. Each participant can obtain a maximum of two awards, and the Champion, First Runner-up, Second Runner-up may not be the same participant.
- The shortlisted entries will be in announcement for one week after the judging session. If a participant has any questions about the shortlisted entries or violation reporting information, please e-mail to fashionpromo@cpttm.org.mo during the announcement period.
- During the announcement period, if more than one entry is found to be created by more than one author or plagiarized, the entry will be disqualified after verification, and the entry will be replaced in the order of score.
- Awarded entries shall be kept by the organizer. The organizer has the rights to promote, exhibit and make it as souvenir purpose at its own discretion.
- Participants can indicate on the application form if commemorative certificate is required.
- CPTTM reserves the right to amend, change, interpret and cancel the contest.
Judging Process
Judging Panel:
The Judging Panel will consist of several fashion designers, illustration experts, and artists.
