“Wearable Intangible Cultural Heritage” Macao Creative Scarves and Neckties

In order to promote and support the Macao fashion and creative industry as well as to strengthen training given to Macao cultural creative people, CPTTM has organized a “Wearable Intangible Cultural Heritage – Macao Creative Scarves and Neckties Design Competition” for such purpose. Through digital printing technology, the winning entries will be made into scarves and neckties, exhibiting the charms of Macao’s cultural creative art and civilization to the public.

作品描述：哪吒鬧海靈動飛舞，化入蓮中成為澳門守護神，昔日的大三巴哪吒廟留下一篇篇神話故事，令民間回味。內斂的東方和張揚的西方，象徵著澳門中西文化和諧相處。神話以迅雷之姿現身，澳門區旗的元素隨行而來。
Description: When the lively Nazha danced around the sea, he fused into a lotus and became the guardian angel of Macao. Many mythical stories were left behind in the Nazha Temple at St. Paul’s Ruin, creating fond memories for the public. Combination of the reclusive East and the jovial West signifies the harmonious coexistence of Chinese and western culture in Macao. The lightning-fast emergence of the myth is followed the elements of the Macao SAR flag.

Description: Cantonese opera facial paintings, aligning male and female facial paintings in Taichi fashion, are used as creative elements. The wavy water-like background symbolizes Macao as a seaside city.

The Many Expressions of Ancient Architecture

作品描述：設計以上架木工工藝為主題，加入萬花筒概念及簡潔現代的色塊拼接，表現古建與當代美的碰撞。建築的屋簷，從柱、斗拱、樑到椽的搭接均清晰可見，展示古代建築形式與功能融合的美。
Description: The design is mainly focused around roof-top carpentry art, by adding the concept of kaleidoscope and the splicing of simple modern color blocks, it exhibits a collision between ancient architecture and contemporary beauty. The eaves, pillars, arches, and bean to rafter connections of a building can be clearly seen, manifesting the integration of beautiful ancient architectural forms and functions.

Description: The intangible cultural heritage space is a space of cultural tokens. The inheritance of intangible cultural heritage is an expression of love, giving mutual support in the society without prejudice. In this design, through the juxtaposition of distinct details, existentialism is being emphasized. Viewers will be able find the joy of intangible cultural heritage and recall their own cultural memories.
