“Style‧Encounter Moment”— Fashion Exhibition of the 4th Subsidy Programme for Fashion Design on Sample Making
Introduction
As the cool breeze of autumn descends upon us, Macao Fashion Gallery is pleased to present our “Style‧Encounter Moment”— Fashion Exhibition of the 4th Subsidy Programme for Fashion Design on Sample Making to our fans. It is an event that displays the outstanding works of the local fashion designers who participated in the “The Subsidy Programme for Fashion Design on Sample Making” offered by Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macao SAR Government.
The works of eight designers (designer team) will be on display at the exhibition, including Gideon Tam, Lalaismi Wai, team of ALo Lo and Rainie Choi, Vincent Cheang, Peng Yun, Esther Leong, Leo Wong, and Victor Lao. The works were carefully selected by a team of professional judges from a large pool of submissions. Two pieces were picked from each designer to go on display at the exhibition. A wide range of items, including knitwear, fashionable suits, dreamlike womenswear, dining formal wear, and unassuming casual wear, will be on display.
In 2013, the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macao SAR Government started to introduce “The Subsidy Programme for Fashion Design on Sample Making”. The objective is to foster creativity of local fashion design, encourage fashion designers to put together feasible and comprehensive marketing promotion plan, as well as stimulate the fashion industry to organize more business activities or participate in local and overseas fashion shows and events, thereby helping to improve the visibility and market competitiveness of the Macao fashion industry, promoting sustainable development of the local fashion design profession.
